Once A Pioneer, Always A Pioneer!

I am so glad to be back at John Hay Elementary, where I taught 21 years in grades K, 1st, 3rd, and 4th. This is home, and I love my John Hay family. The teachers, staff, and I have great things in store for our Pioneers this year. We hope to see a lot of academic growth as we focus on intervention to close the gaps left by our "Covid years." We also hope to have a more normal school year with a return of visitors and field trips and extra learning opportunities from community guests. At John Hay, we believe that all students can learn and succeed, but some may need additional supports that we are more than willing to provide. It is our goal to support the whole child, academically, emotionally, and socially. As the principal, I have an open-door policy, meaning if you need to talk about any issues at school, I am here to listen. Just call and set up an appointment and together we can collaborate to make this the best learning year for your child!
